Sarah Palin says we need to "Rage against the machine."

This just cracks me up. Almost as much as Gawker calling Newt Gingrich the Teflon Don.

“You’ve got to rage against the machine at this point in order to defend our republic and save what
is good and secure and prosperous about our nation,”
    - Sarah Palin on the Fox News show Justice With Jeanine

Now, listen to some Rage Against the Machine, right below. It'll do your heart good.

Stream a new Frank Ocean track - Voodoo

Listen to it right here. It's excellent, which is not a surprise. I'll get to work on finding a download, but for now, you'll just have to listen to it on his Tumblr.

New Music Video: Phèdre - In Decay

I've been on a tangent for the last couple of weeks, posting a lot of vice-oriented material. Some videos produced by Vice Magazine, some videos that are simply preoccupied with the subject. This video seems like the perfect way to wrap that up. It's a little revolting, so watch out. Giddy in equal measure, though. Enjoy.

Obama speeches make me speechless.

I am so happy I got to see this, take my cell phone picture and cheer. Everybody vote. Especially if you agree with me on most issues.

I knew it.

A music video for “Please Be My Third Eye” by La Sera

I'm going to be honest - I had not heard of La Sera until I saw this music video. However, it is wonderful. So, get on board. It's music in the same vein as Girls, and I mean that in the best way possible. Wide-eyed, enthusiastic pop-rock music that sounds like a bike ride on a sunny afternoon.

Preview Die Antwoord's New Album Ten$ion (and see Yolandi rip out Ninja's heart)

Free Album Download from XO Crew Member DropxLife

My personal favorite, of the tracks on the Weeknd's latest mixtape Echoes of Silence, was Initiation. It's slithering beat and distorted vocals just delighted me, even as the lyrics made me shudder. So, without further ado, here's a free record by a guy who worked as a producer on that track. He goes by the name DropxLife, and he's a member of the XO crew. Expect his shadowy profile to continue growing in the future, and spend a little time in the dark with his music. You won't be disappointed. The record is called Furthur, and you can grab it right here.

If you won't just take my word on the merits of this instrumental audio experience, then in addition to reprimanding you for doubting my good taste, I would tell you to look just down yonder, right below, and listen to a track. You may find you like it.

Gawker favorably compares Newt Grich to Rick Ross

Today, Gawker posted a story about Newt Gingrich's ex-wife's interview with ABC. In it, they said the following:

"World class scumbag Newt Gingrich is somehow still in the presidential race despite scandal after
scandal. Recent polls even show him gaining on Romney. He's essentially the teflon don of GOP
candidates. Nothing sticks to this guy."

Newt Gingrich is what? Oh, yeah. The Teflon Don of the GOP. Really, though?

Lana Del Rey X Clams Casino - Born to Die Remix

Alright. So, SNL definitely took the wind out of Lana Del Rey's sails a bit. Maybe she's not quite ready for the unforgiving limelight of live television performance. One thing I do know is, she still sounds great on record. Here's some proof in the form of a pretty remix of Born to Die by Clams Casino. No free download, but if you really want it, let me know. Or buy it on iTunes. Your call.

Madlib and Freddie Gibbs - Thuggin' [Official]

New Madlib videos are rare and ought to be treasured. So, here is a priceless gift for you. Treasure it.

Mixtapes Up the Wazoo - One from Heems of Das Racist and another by Juicy J

Today, I have two mixtapes for you. The first is called Nehru Jackets. It's a "donation recommended" record by Heems from Das Racist that is intended to raise money for a non-profit called Seva NY that is concerned with preventing election redistricting from getting even more catastrophically corrupt. You can grab that here.

Also, here is a mixtape by Juicy J called Blue Dream and Lean that has some great features by Wiz Khalifa, SpaceGhostPurrp, and A$AP Rocky. A lot of the production comes courtesy of Lex Luger, so you know what to expect vibe-wise. You can give that a listen right below, and download it here.

Free MP3 Download: Azealia Banks - NEEDSUMLUV

It's no secret that I love Azealia Banks. So, it ought not surprise you to see the latest track she's released, right below. It sounds distinctly different from the last two major tracks she has put online, Liquorice and 212. It's still excellent, though. I think so, anyway.

Lana Del Rey - Video Games live at Corinthia Hotel London

Seems like just yesterday ago I was saying how great Lana Del Rey is - oh wait! I said that earlier tonight. Anyway, if you're looking for a small dose of her seductive vocal prowess before that record drops at the end of the month, here's a live version of Video Games  that she performed at Corinthia Hotel London. It sounds great, just like everything else she's done. I've read adjectives like "stripped down" used in describing it, but honestly it isn't markedly different than the original mix of this song. Really, it's just a new video and a slightly different rendition of the song. The real value is being reminded, one more time, of just how exciting Lana Del Rey has become in the blogosphere. It's an opportunity to embrace her music before it all pays off on record release day. Get on board. You'll be glad when you're riding the wave of buzz on January 31.

Lana Del Rey unveils her album tracklist

Here it is! As you probably know, the album is called Born to Die and it will be in US stores on January 31. Check out the tracklist below, and hit me up if you don't have half these tracks already. I'll email them to you or something. Also, if you haven't watched it enough times already (I haven't), see the video for Born to Die below. It's shaping up to be quite a year for Lana Del Rey - she just signed a modeling contract, she has an album dropping, she's released four excellent music videos already. I hear rumors about people disliking her because she's pretending to be an indie princess when she's got connections to the mainstream recording industry. To that, I say, "Watch this music video!" Also, I say, "What was that? I can't hear you over how awesome this sounds." And then I say, "Neither can the 10 million people who have watched this video in the last three weeks. Because they're listening to it really loud."

2. Off to the Races
3. Blue Jeans
4. Video Games
5. Diet Mountain Dew
6. National Anthem
7. Dark Paradise
8. Radio
9. Carmen
10. Million Dollar Man
11. Summertime Sadness
12. This Is What Makes Us Girls

Oh, you heard the new Jay-Z track? How about a free download?

Step right up and grab a free download of the new Jay-Z track "Glory," which features his newly born baby girl Blue Ivy Carter, at least that's what I think B.I.C. stands for. Anyway, check it out. It's streaming, right below, and you have the option of downloading it for free if choose to do so.

Jay-Z - Glory ft. B.I.C.

Note: I'm sure that I sound like a broken record saying this, but I'll repeat it again anyway. To download the MP3 file, right click and select "save link as." You'll see that you're downloading an MP3 file, and if you open it up you'll discover it is a 256kbps copy of the new Jay-Z track "Glory."

Oh, you like Common music videos?

Here's the latest one off his record The Dreamer, The Believer.

And a few more that he's released in support of that project over the last couple of months. Come on, get careless - watch some youtube videos.

Two mixtapes that you probably have already

I don't know how I missed this, since Curren$y is someone I actively search for new material from on a nearly daily basis, BUT! I did, until just this afternoon. Normally, I try to be all cutting edge here at Keystrokes and Cigarette Smoke, but when I'm behind the curve, I'm not ashamed to admit it. Here is a download link to the Jet Life mixtape Jet World Order. Get it because I say so, and thank yourself on your own time.

For similar reasons, I haven't posted the new T.I. mixtape Fuck Da City Up. It is really great, though, honestly. If you don't already have it, do yourself a favor and download it right here. It's got a great set of features ranging from
Pusha T and Young Jeezy to Dr. Dre, and it's really more of a free album than a run-of-the-mill mixtape. Enough catching up, now. Tomorrow, come back for more fresh tracks.

Free MP3 Download: Grimes - Genesis

I've been putting off checking out this new tune by Grimes. I'm not exactly sure why, but it's true. However, now that I have listened to it, I have to say it's excellent. Maybe that's why - I don't like feeling like I'll have to like something if I hear it. In any case, here's the new track Genesis from the forthcoming record Visions. Also, everything else she's done. It really is excellent. Airy, ethereal pop music from a young, talented musician. Listen. Enjoy. Download. Right now. Fo' free.

Free MP3 Download: Georgia Anne Muldrow and Madlib - Seeds

Word is, Madlib has produced the entirety of Georgia Anne Muldrow's new album, Seeds If this first single is any indication of what's to come, I'm even more excited than I usually am when a new Madlib project surfaces. Psychedelic soul is the buzzword that's been getting thrown around with this first single, and it seems pretty spot on as a way of describing it. So, without further ado, here is an MP3 link, courtesy of Rolling Stone, that will allow you to download the song for free a month or so before the single drops on digitally iTunes and on 7" through Fat Beats. Don't even kid yourself, just download it. I only made it playable as a formality. Madlib always deserves a permanent place in your library.

Download the new Rick Ross Mixtape - Rich Forever

Check out the star-studded new mixtape by Rick Ross. It's got features ranging from Drake and Diddy to Nas and Pharell. There's been a couple of pretty excellent videos released in support of it (Stay Schemin' ft. French Montana and Drake is especially good). So, check those out right below and download the mixtape at Live Mixtapes right here.

Download New A$AP Rocky - Pretty Flacko

A$AP Rocky just posted a new track on his blog Long Live A$AP.  It's called Pretty Flacko, and Spaceghostpurrp was responsible for production. A$AP Rocky put it online with this message:
"Some new wave to start the year off right. A$AP Mob album coming in february. Call us on a yacht 10 years from now we’ll still be on top."
Give it a listen right below, then right click the link and  select "save as" to download it.
