My personal favorite, of the tracks on the Weeknd's latest mixtape Echoes of Silence, was Initiation. It's slithering beat and distorted vocals just delighted me, even as the lyrics made me shudder. So, without further ado, here's a free record by a guy who worked as a producer on that track. He goes by the name DropxLife, and he's a member of the XO crew. Expect his shadowy profile to continue growing in the future, and spend a little time in the dark with his music. You won't be disappointed. Gawker favorably compares Newt Grich to Rick Ross

Today, Gawker posted a story about Newt Gingrich's ex-wife's interview with ABC. In it, they said the following:

   "World class scumbag Newt Gingrich is somehow still in the presidential race despite scandal after
    scandal. Recent polls even show him gaining on Romney. He's essentially the teflon don of GOP
    candidates. Nothing sticks to this guy."

Newt Gingrich is what? Oh, yeah. The Teflon Don of the GOP. Really, though?

Alright. So, SNL definitely took the wind out of Lana Del Rey's sails a bit. Maybe she's not quite ready for the unforgiving limelight of live television performance.
