don't drip over children

feet get wet
over plates of sandals.
fresh worms, earlobes,
french bread under sweaty palms.

mind over time

Today, it rained all day. While I was walking with my umbrella, I wondered how long it would take to get to a dry place. It depended, I decided, on whether I was making good time. This phrase stayed on my mind for several minutes. Am I making good time? Am I making time at all? Yes. I am making time, and I hope very much that I am making good time.

Take Care

Jerry,

Be careful, while spinning, to maintain your awareness. Be careful, always, of the edge. Remember that there are two universes - the one outside spins, the one inside can as well, but should be kept still.

It's good to hear you are feeling high, but I urge not to lose sight of the ground. Remember how large it looms when your feet are firmly planted on it, even though it might shrink to a pinpoint. Never, ever lose sight of that pinpoint. it is the only window back into the world of causation.

Best,
Frank

Thoughts from an earlier version of myself

Chaos and nonsense.
Order and oppression
All these thoughts
Making hamburger from my brain.
